This course provides the required two hours of education for applicants desiring to become an Ohio Online Notary Public. Please remember that you must be commissioned as a "traditional" Ohio Notary Public or in the process of becoming one in order to be authorized as an Ohio Online Notary Public. The Secretary of State is NOT able to approve your application to be an Online Notary Public until you are also a "traditional" Notary Public. Also, this course is NOT for those wishing to be a "traditional" Ohio Notary Public. You may access those educational options here .

Terms and Conditions of Purchases:

Payment: All payments are due upon receipt. If a payment is not received or payment method is declined, the buyer forfeits the ability to access the various education and testing options provided by ONS.

Refund Policy: Unless otherwise specified, fees for services, courses, education, testing and related functions are not returnable and refunds are not permitted. According to the Ohio Secretary of State: "Fees paid to the authorized provider are non-refundable even if the commission or renewal application is rejected by the Secretary of State." Changes to notary education class registration is subject to a $15.00 change fee.

Renewal Outreach: Remote Online Notary (RON) authorization expires at the same time as your notary public commission. Both should be renewed BEFORE they expire. Ohio Notary Services will contact you approximately 60 days before your commission and RON authorization expires. Our renewal team reaches out via email and phone call, lets you know your window is open, and walks you through the renewal process. Because Ohio law provides no grace period for expired commissions, this outreach is intended to remind you that the expiration date is approaching.
