Sample Notary Exam Question #1Notary Public who is not a licensed attorney holds office for:

  1. 3 Years
  2. Life
  3. 5 Years
  4. Until a New Governor Takes Office

The answer is C: 5 Years (Ohio Revised Code Section 147.03)

 

Sample Notary Exam Question #2Which of the following statements is False?

  1. A notary public does not need to use a stamp or seal.
  2. A notary seal may either be one that stamps ink or that embosses a document.
  3. The notary public’s name may be printed, typewritten or stamped in legible printed letters near the notary public’s signature.
  4. The notary public must provide their own seal.

 

The answer is A: A notary public does not need to use a stamp or seal. (Ohio Revised Code Section 147.04)
